2018 Plan-The Orlando Times
We Need A Plan For A Happy 2018
BY LOUIS C. WARD
The partying and celebrating are done. The annual ball was dropped in Times Square in New York and the fireworks and gun shots bringing in the new year are over.
Happy New Year!!
What’s your plan for 2018? Do you even have a plan for 2018?
I’m not talking about New Year resolutions, people!
Most of us went through some kind of difficult situation in 2017.
However, because some of us went through the difficult times with God’s covering we were better able to handle the adversity.
Check out what two prominent pastors said in their end of the year messages about 2017 and the coming 2018:
“Good riddance to 2017. It wasn’t such a good year”. That was the gist of Pastor John Gray’s New Year’s Eve Sermon in North Carolina.
Pastor T. D. Jakes encouraged people to “Shut their mouths for 2018” in his last message for the year.
Both are well known pastors and their messages for the coming new year hits home for many of us.
With all the natural disasters – hurricanes, fires, rain in Texas, and the stuff our President Donald Trump continues to put us through, yes, good riddance to 2017.
Let’s face it, some of us have allowed our mouths to speak words that may have hurt someone or got us in a heap of trouble. My wife is always telling me you don’t have to always say what you think or feel.
Quite a few times in 2017 I said some things I shouldn’t have. Unfortunately, once I put it out there I could not take it back.
A happy New Year and productive life in 2018 will be determined by our actions or the plan that we have for ourselves.
Again, do you have a plan?
If your plan is to do what is right, 2018 will be right.
How do we do right and make 2018 a much better year?
Natural disasters are in God’s realm. We cannot do anything about that.
For those things we can control, the first step is to put God first in our lives and seek Him and his kingdom of righteousness and all things will be added to us.
That’s all things will be added unto us, not some things. All things.
We’ve got homeless school age kids and teenagers living in the streets.
Our young males and females need to be mentored.
Our educational system is not adequately preparing our children for employment or college or the military.
Our president and his administration are trying to “Make America Great Again” at the expense of the lives of African Americans, Latinos, Asians, women and immigrants.
We are in major dispute with North Korea, which can lead to a major war.
We have a Republican Senate and Congress who will not stand up against the President when they and we know he is not fit to run this country.
These are only a few of the problems facing us in 2018.
Do you have a plan to help eradicate one or some of these issues?
Part of the plan should be to get together with love ones, family members, friends and co-workers.
Pray and make a pact to work hard to win elections in 2018.
Continue to work hard for 2020 and remove Donald Trump from the presidency.
While doing the above, keep the torch burning for impeachment of President Trump.
When the country gets straight, our personal lives will get straight.
We need a plan for 2018 or 2017 to repeat itself in 2018.
Become involve and do something, now!!
