SANFORD - Brittany Nichole Groves, granddaughter of Carolyn Wiggins, Sanford, has a reason to be proud. On Friday, May 5, 2017, Brittany graduated from the University of Alabama, Magna Cum Laude with a Double Major in German and History and Minor in International Affairs.
She has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to assist with teaching English in Germany for 10 months.
Brittany has been accepted into the Graduate Program at the University Of Alabama, where she will pursue a Master's Degree in German; however she has deferred this opportunity and a Graduate Teaching Assistant position until after she returns from Germany.
For the summer, Brittany will be working in the Study Abroad Office at the University Of Alabama. She recently spent four months studying in Chiang Mai, Thailand, at the University of Chiang Mai, returning the morning of graduation and arriving at the University of Alabama in time to receive her Degree.
Brittany is a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, of which she holds the position of Vice President, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Iota Eta Chapter. She is also Director of Academic Achievement, NPHC.
Brittany is the daughter of Bryan and Nathalia Wiggins Groves and granddaughter of Dorinda Groves, Decatur, Ga.
Much success to you Brittany!
