City Commissioner Samuel B. Ings Of District 6 & First Born Church Of The Living God, Inc. Presented Stop The Violence!
BY JIMMIE WILLIAMS
ORLANDO - Saturday's Stop the Violence luncheon provided food that was so good I almost started some violence in the building. Lol! Now you know I like to eat and that is no secret. City Commissioner Samuel B. Ings of District 6 is reading this article and laughing like crazy. Ok I'm going to get serious about our business. Pastor Daniel Ings of The Glory Center was speaking about his mentor nonprofit organization, Boys2men mentoring. He spoke about how they have help change young men lives. He shared with us how we can help out as well by starting with our youth at home, because schooling starts at home with family. We also had the Company of Bishop Bryan Cohen and his beautiful wife. Pastor Daniel Ings also quoted Frederick Douglass, "It's easier to build strong children than try to repair grown men." This was a great event with resources and helpful information about how to stop the violence in your community. We'll l see you at the next stop the violence event here at the Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center in 2018 with the hardest working City Commissioner, my Commissioner Samuel B. Ings of District 6. What will you be doing when Jesus comes?
