ORLANDO - World Sports Alumni (WSA) hosted the Bowl Party II and WSA launch party at Ace Cafe in downtown Orlando. It was held on Friday January 26, 2018. This is a unique and one of a kind sports organization because it invites athletes from any sports affiliation to join WSA. WSA mission is “Utilizing All Professional Athletes of all Sports Globally.” WSA attracted a variety of players from the NFL, NBA, Boxing, Tennis, celebrities and fans that were at the WSA party to kick off the Pro Bowl weekend. The Pro Bowl game was on Sunday January 28, 2018 at the Camping World Stadium. Many of the Sports players were in town to attend the Pro Bowl game and they had their pick of parties to attend but they chose to attend the hottest party in town. Some of the players that were spotted at the WSA party were former NFL players- Ron Dixon (N.Y. Giants), Lee Paige (Tampa Bay Bucs), Charlie Hawkins (N.Y. Jets), Walter Briggs (N.Y. Jets), Brandon Meriweather (New England Patriots), Santana Moss (Washington Redskins), Rusty Russell (Philadelphia Eagles), NBA Legend- Nick Anderson (Orlando Magic), Boxing Greats- Riddick “Big Daddy” Bowe ( Heavy Weight Boxing Champion), Willy Wise (World Welterweight Boxing Champion), Demarcus “Chop Chop” Corely (World Lightweight Boxing Champion), Charlie Williams (Former World #1 Ranked Billiards Pro), Tom Sweitzer (Tennis Hall of Fame) and Kurt Collis ( FTT Tennis Top 8). "The origins of WSA started when Ron Dixon, Lee Paige, and myself all left the NFL Alumni Central Florida, we decided that we should continue working together but do something on a much grander scale. I was already heavily involved with other sports such as owning the Florida Tennis Tour, professional billiards and had a multitude of pro athletes of many sports in my rolodex. And I saw that no one in the world had tried to unite pro athletes the way we were going to. So it excited me immensely, even though I knew it was a monumental endeavor. But I felt that my 18 years’ experience in event production and promotions had prepared me for this next stage of my life. So we started out with 3 of us, and then it kept doubling. Now we are over a 100 pro athletes strong worldwide and growing exponentially. We have divisions being set-up now in Phoenix, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philippines, and Turkey. Our goal is to be in 50 cities worldwide and be over 1000 pro athletes strong in the next 4-5 years."- Charlie Williams, WSA CEO & Founder. A portion of all bowl party sales will be donated to benefit NFL Brandon Meriweather (New England Patriots) 31 Way Foundation and Santana Moss (Washington Redskins) Santana Moss Foundation. “Orlando is the number one family city to bring kids to visit the amusement parks and now people can plan a family vacation around the Pro Bowl week.” said Brandon Meriweather (New England Patriots). Fans had a chance to mingle with the sports stars and get one autographed football signed by the NFL pros and a photo. There were live bands and DJ’s that played music all night. There was high energy in the atmosphere with all of these athletes celebrating under the same roof. Ron Dixon, President of WSA Pro Football Division said, “I joined the WSA because I wanted to combine forces with many different athletes because collectively we can accomplish so much more together rather than one person standing alone but joining together in a group we are stronger.” There were Super Bowl Champions, Pro Bowlers, Boxers and many more stars at this party. This was the biggest networking party of the year here in Central Florida. “I’m excited that the Pro Bowl is here in Orlando for a second year. You can bring your family to the Pro Bowl, go to Sea World, Disney World and enjoy all the amenities that Orlando has to offer. I decided to become a member of WSA because it includes all sports not just one particular sport so it’s great to be involved with this organization,” said Nick Anderson (Orlando Magic).
