LEESBURG - As soon as you walk into the small, clean and cozy eatery, a receptive voice say’s “Hello, welcome to Cotton’s Kitchen.”  The pleasant atmosphere is set. You sit down and a waitress brings you a menu and you immediately shift into a relaxed and ready to decide what you’re going to eat mode.
That’s the cool, upbeat, and popping environment of Cotton’s Kitchen, a new eatery on Pine Street, across the street from the city’s new swimming pool under construction in Leesburg. Florida.
Prior to going to view the new James Bond movie, “No Time to Die” last Thursday, my wife and I, and another couple decided to check out Cotton’s Kitchen for lunch.  After we finished eating, we talked about our meals.  Everyone was very pleased with his food, which included turkey wings, potato salad, side salad, Auntie Gwen’s fried chicken, collard greens, candied yams, butter beans, macaroni and cheese, peach cobbler, and love juice, a red colored concoction made with their own secret ingredients. Love Juice was tasty, sweet, and a cool soothing to the throat.
Our guts were more than satisfied and the waitress was very attentive. Bottom line: lunch at Cotton’s Kitchen made the day.  Now, the only thing left was to hope that we didn’t fall asleep watching James Bond.

Cotton’s Kitchen’s staff, all family and friends, enlivened the cozy eatery, exhibiting receptive and pleasant attitudes while they dealt with us.  “It’s a labor of love for them,” revealed Athia. “They want to see me make it; they believe in me.” From our experience at Cotton’s Kitchen, it was obvious that Athia was right on point.
“My business is grounded in love,” said Athia Linzy, who trusts God and loves people. She wants to reach people through providing delicious, healthy food.  That’s “my platform, my ministry.”
“We highly recommend Cotton’s Kitchen, which “prides itself in offering great customer service and serving our customers some of the best home-cooked southern food all made with love.”
